Mie is the third biggest tea producing prefecture in Japan. Mie, rich in nature,  also boasts the largest production of Kabuse tea which is a type of tea in the middle of Sencha and Gyokuro.

It’s been 40 years since we started producing tea. At the beginning we used pesticides regularly. However we found it strange that it’s like we are taking medicine when we are not sick at all. So we started observing tea trees more carefully instead of just giving chemicals. In a certain year the tea trees were terribly disturbed by bugs. We took care of them gently like when we offered medicine to our sick child. The more we faced the tea trees seriously, the deeper we understood the ecosystem of our farms in terms of location, types of tea trees, cultivation periods, and so on. Gradually, we were directed to a natural and organic way.

Recently we have some tea trees so sick on a certain farm that we need to use pesticide for them. Yet everyday we keep trying our best to grow our teas with blessings of nature as well as taking care of our children.

We are trying to produce teas that our customers would want to have over and over, cup after cup. When we choose organic fertilizers and materials, we make sure to visit where they are produced and check if they meet our criteria and beliefs. Also we are aiming for sustainable farming. We are a ASIAGAP certified farm.

We will be happy if you can enjoy our tea with sweets chatting with other people like in a tea ceremony and in other opportunities. So you can enjoy our tea again and again we recommend you brew tea at a low temperature at first. Brew the same tea secondly and thirdly with hot water so you can try a variety of tastes at one time.
